I left another week of work feeling a little bit under the weather, and not the weather that is gracing this beautiful country at the moment.
The start of the week had me working again with the wonderful Samuel, whom has taught me so much more about the wonderful work of Post-Production. With that knowledge, Samuel allowed me to personally work on the audio of a concert in which an esteemed singer was playing. Absolutely delighted with the responsibility handed to me, I used all of my knowledge to work to the best of my abilities, with great results.
During the week, I was asked if I wanted to accompany a crew who were travelling away from the offices to film interviews and cut-aways. I obviously said yes to such a great opportunity. This opportunity allowed me to meet the great Jorge, a cameraman at Panavideo. Jorge took me under his wing to ensure that by the end of the day, I knew what I needed to know about the proceedings of interviewing esteemed members of Lisbon's society. These members included authors and senior members of EDP, Portugal's main energy provider. The latter interviews allowed me to see inside the wonderful offices of EDP, such sights I will remember for the rest of my life.
While interviewing one of the esteemed authors at the Lisbon Oceanarium, I suffered at the hands of the sun, such heat an Irishman like myself is not used to. I completed the days work and came home, where the effects of the heat set in. Bed-ridden for the rest of the day, I recuperated all the energy I needed to work for the rest of the week.
The week's end brought me to the wonderful Jardim Botanico, Jardim Estrela for the second time and the picturesque modern region of Oriente, the views of which I will never forget. Metros, malls, cable-cars, gardens, restaurants, arenas and the scenic sea-side, I didn't want to leave. But as all days have to, it has come to a close. Tomorrow awaits along with the sights, the smells and the wonderful food. The next working week is also in sight, unfortunately the last week I will spend in this fantastic city. Boa Noite!
